TIFTON, Georgia--The Georgia Peanut Commission teams up with
Matt Baldwin, bullfighter from Sylvania, Ala., to promote
Georgia peanuts during hundreds of rodeo events throughout
the U.S. in 2004. This Friday and Saturday night peanut
growers will be able to see the promotion in action during
the “Humps N’ Horns” Pro Bull Riders
Tour at Pike Creek Ranch in Pavo, Ga. The rodeo begins
at 8:00 p.m. on April 23 and April 24.
“
Pro rodeo bull riding has become a very big spectator sport
in the U.S. There are so many up and coming bull riders that
this Humps n Horns tour will give them an opportunity to
break into the big time,” Baldwin says.
During the rodeo events, Baldwin wears the Georgia Peanuts
logo with pride on his shirt and baggies. After rodeo events
Baldwin can be found autographing pictures.
“
I’m proud to wear the Georgia peanuts logo on my clothing
as I test my skills in front of 40 bulls during the rodeo
this weekend,” Baldwin says. “Georgia peanuts
have been seen by millions of people around the U.S. as I
travel on this pro bull riding tour in 2004.”
Baldwin, originally from Tifton, Ga. has been fighting bulls
for 12 years and recently named 2003 Bullfighter of the Year
for Championship Bull Riding.
General admission to the rodeo at the gate is $15 with children
3 years of age and under free. For ticket information call
