TIFTON, Georgia– For the fourth year in a row AMADAS
Industries sponsors the grand door prize during the 28th
annual Georgia Peanut Farm Show and Conference. The grand
door prize is a certificate valued at $5,000 for the purchase
of an AMADAS peanut combine. The one-day show on January
15, 2004, offers farmers a full day to view the products
and services of more than 65 exhibitors and an afternoon
of education.
“ This is the fourth year AMADAS Industries has sponsored the grand door
prize,” says Emory Murphy, farm show coordinator. “We are excited
that they have chosen to recognize one lucky peanut farmer with a $5,000 certificate
towards the purchase of a peanut combine.”
“AMADAS Model 9997 Four Row and Model 2100 Six Row Pull-type peanut combines
stand alone as the largest and highest capacity pull-type combines available,” says
Mark Mathis, southeastern sales manager of AMADAS. “The proven performance
of the advanced picking and separating technology of AMADAS combines has secured
AMADAS Industries’ position as a leader in the innovative design of large
volume, high capacity, peanut harvesting technology.”
The AMADAS Model 9960 Self Propelled Peanut Combine is revolutionizing peanut
harvesting, Mathis says. AMADAS Industries and John Deere joined forces to develop
the world’s first eight row, self-propelled peanut combine to ensure that
peanut farmers maintain a competitive advantage.
The show opens at 8:30 a.m. with door prize registration and closes at 3:45 p.m.
with the announcement of the grand door prize winner. During the opening general
session, the Georgia Peanut Commission will present the Georgia Peanut Research
and Education Award, the Distinguished Service Award and two special awards.
The University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Service will present
an educational Peanut Conference in the afternoon.
