The 2008
tour includes:
The
Georgia Peanut Tour Committee has set September 17-18,
2008, as the dates for the 22nd Annual Georgia Peanut
Tour. An Early Bird Hot Topics’ Seminar will also
be held Tuesday, September 16, at 3:00 p.m.at the Country
Inn & Suites in Cordele, Ga. The tour spotlights South
Central Georgia’s
peanut production area. The Early Bird “Hot Topics” Seminar
will be held at the Country Inn & Suites in Cordele,
Ga.
The tour includes a cross section of field conditions
in South Central Georgia, peanut harvest clinics, University
of Georgia Southwest Research and Education Center in
Plains, Ga., Coastal Plain Experiment Station in Tifton,
Ga., and the National Peanut Research Laboratory in Dawson,
Ga., peanut handling and grading facilities.

Information:
The registration fee is $35 per person before August 4 ($45.00 after Aug.
4), which includes all meals and reserved transportation during the tour.
